Bob Gale Electrical Project | Niagara Falls, Ontario

Gale Centre is an arena containing four ice rinks seating 2,170 and located in Niagara Falls, Ontario.  We provided the electrical products required along with our engineering support to power this facility.

The Project

This is a large four pad arena using a large amount of power. The Engineer was looking for something that would provide separate power to each of the ice pads separately and work as the main incoming and metering switchboard. The unit had to go outdoors and be totally tamperproof.

You can see by the plan view, the MiniSub is the small item in the bottom left side outdoors next to the ice making equipment indoors.

Our Solution

The MiniSub was the only real possibility, due to the voltage incoming at 27KV and the
complicated amount of secondary distribution.
