Beaver Barracks Housing Development | Electrical Distribution Project

The Project consisted of 4 buildings and a center court yard. The engineer approached the utility and they insisted on one vault design which would require distribution to all other buildings from a location neat the street. A huge cost in distribution the power, as well as the space taken from the buildings parking area, would add to the project cost.

The Solution

A MiniSub located in the center court yard that incorporated the secondary metering and distribution to each building separately, located in the center of the buildings.

The Savings

This offered a huge saving in materials and space and a transformer ownership credit of $12,000 per year from the utility.
