Head of Engineering Design Department

Requirement: Electrical Engineering Graduate from University or Technical College, background in power engineering and knowledge of power distribution networks.

National Electrical Code an asset.

Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office essential.

Ability to produce engineering drawings – electrical and mechanical; calculation of electrical parameters associated with transformers and switchgear to produce component specifications.

Knowledge of PLC programming an asset; practical wiring / field experience an asset.
Must be a self starter; able to work without supervision; with flexibility to undertake a range of tasks, including customer liaison.

Draftsman

The company is seeking an experienced mechanical draftsperson to support the electrical engineering design department in the manufacture of switchgear enclosures.

Requirement:   Mechanical Engineering background in design, layout and fabrication of metal enclosures.

Knowledge of  low and medium  voltage electrical power distribution panels and National Electrical Code an asset.

Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office essential.

Ability to review Engineering drawings – working with fabrication sub-contractors to produce and approve component detailed specifications.

Must be a self starter, able to work without supervision, flexibility to undertake a range of tasks, including customer liaison.
